“ My uncle, a local, has apparently reached maximum saturation with pasta and pizza (a shocking betrayal to the carb factory). So, in a daring act of rebellion, we marched ourselves to Mammo, who has burgers, because sometimes you need a break from marinara and mozzarella and want to flirt with cholesterol in a different shape. He went full carnivore, ordering something with more meat than a Roman gladiator banquet. I, still blissfully meat-free, went for the Cacio e Pepe, because if I’m going to eat pasta in a burger place, I want it to feel ironic. Nestled right by the Tiber river where you can ponder life’s big questions like is Uncle Tom technically cheating on Italian cuisine, or is he just evolving? Either way, 10/10. Would betray tradition again apparently. ”
